I am interested in mechanical and hydraulic behavior of brittle shear zones. Most of my research includes of deformation of granular media with application to fault zone behavior and glacial shear. Studies include transient (slow) slip in laboratory experiments, evolution of shear localization, earthquake energy budget, rheology of glacial till, DEM models of particle shear.
